This Privacy Policy describes how WQmonitor processes personal data in connection with WQmonitor, the dashboard, support and related communications. Water quality data itself generally does not constitute personal data, although user accounts, contact details, IP addresses and usage logs may do so.

1. Controller

WQmonitor, established in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands, acts as controller for personal data processed for its own business purposes, such as sales, support, invoicing, security and user management.

For personal data processed by WQmonitor on behalf of Customer within the Platform, the Data Processing Agreement applies.

2. Categories of Personal Data

WQmonitor may process the following categories of personal data: name, position, organisation, business email address, telephone number, account details, login and usage information, IP address, support communications, invoice details and security logs.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

Personal data is processed for performance of the agreement, user management, support, invoicing, security, service improvement, communication, statutory administrative obligations and handling requests or complaints.

Legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations and, where required, consent.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

Personal data is only shared with service providers necessary for the Service, such as hosting providers, email services, support tools, administrative suppliers or IT vendors.

WQmonitor does not sell personal data.

5. Retention Periods

Personal data shall not be retained longer than necessary.

Account data shall in principle be deleted or anonymised after termination of access, subject to statutory retention obligations, security logs or ongoing disputes.

6. Security

WQmonitor implements appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access control, encrypted connections, logging, backups, authorisation management and supplier arrangements.

7. Rights of Data Subjects

Data subjects may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection.

8. International Transfers

Where personal data is processed outside the EEA, WQmonitor shall ensure appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

9. Amendments

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time.

The latest version shall be made available through the website or the Platform.
